<p><strong>Mission Brief&nbsp;<br></strong></p> <p>The Supply Chain Leader will own the end-to-end supply chain for the new development programme, ensuring the right materials, suppliers, capacity and prototype manufacturing capability are available to meet programme milestones.&nbsp;The role brings Planning, Purchasing and Fast Make Manufacturing together under a single leader, creating a responsive supply chain capable of supporting rapid engineering development and the transition into production.</p> <p>Your Role in Our Space Mission:&nbsp;</p> <h4>Supply Chain Leadership</h4> <ul> <li>Develop and implement the supply-chain strategy for the development programme.</li> <li>Lead Planning, Purchasing and Fast Make Manufacturing.</li> <li>Establish scalable processes, systems and organisation to support development through production.</li> <li>Provide clear supply-chain performance, risk and recovery reporting to the Director of Value Stream.</li> </ul> <h4>Planning &amp; Material Control</h4> <ul> <li>Own material and capacity planning aligned to programme milestones.</li> <li>Ensure critical and long-lead components are identified and secured early.</li> <li>Drive build readiness and resolution of material shortages and constraints.</li> <li>Ensure engineering changes are rapidly reflected in supply plans.</li> </ul> <h4>Purchasing &amp; Suppliers</h4> <ul> <li>Develop sourcing strategies and build a capable, responsive supplier base.</li> <li>Lead supplier selection, commercial negotiations and performance management.</li> <li>Manage supplier Quality, Cost and Delivery performance.</li> <li>Identify and mitigate single-source, capacity and long-lead risks.</li> </ul> <h4>Fast Make Manufacturing</h4> <ul> <li>Lead the Fast Make / prototyping capability supporting rapid engineering iteration.</li> <li>Establish appropriate make/buy strategies and internal/external prototype capacity.</li> <li>Reduce prototype manufacturing lead times while maintaining appropriate quality controls.</li> <li>Develop the capability and processes required to transition successful prototypes into production.</li> </ul> <h4>Engineering &amp; Programme Integration</h4> <ul> <li>Embed Supply Chain into the engineering development process from the earliest stages.</li> <li>Provide input on manufacturability, sourcing, cost, capacity and lead time.</li> <li>Own supply-chain deliverables within the programme plan.</li> <li>Ensure material and manufacturing readiness for key development milestones.</li> </ul> <h4>Risk, Cost &amp; Performance</h4> <ul> <li>Establish a critical component and supplier risk management process.</li> <li>Manage development procurement spend and identify cost-reduction opportunities.</li> <li>Establish KPIs covering material availability, supplier performance, prototype lead time, shortages and programme readiness.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement across the development supply chain.</li> </ul> <h4>Key Deliverables</h4> <ul> <li>Integrated Planning, Purchasing and Fast Make organisation.</li> <li>Development supply-chain strategy and operating model.</li> <li>Critical supplier and component strategy.</li> <li>Build-readiness and material planning process.</li> <li>Fast Make / prototyping operating model.</li> <li>Supply-chain risk register and mitigation plans.</li> <li>Supplier performance management process.</li> <li>Supply-chain KPI dashboard.</li> <li>Effective transition from development into production.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualification Checklist&nbsp;<br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Significant leadership experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing or Procurement.</li> <li>Experience supporting complex engineering or new product development programmes.</li> <li>Strong understanding of Planning, Procurement and Manufacturing.</li> <li>Experience with prototype, low-volume or fast-turn manufacturing.</li> <li>Proven supplier management and commercial capability.</li> <li>Experience building and developing high-pe
