About the role

<h2>Your Role</h2> <p>As our <strong>Senior Maintenance Manager (all genders)</strong>, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our highly automated production facilities at our <strong>Barleben site near Magdeburg</strong>. Together with your Engineering team, you will ensure that our technical equipment remains safe, reliable, and available at all times.</p> <p>Working closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering, you will develop future-oriented maintenance strategies, optimize technical processes, and create the conditions for smooth and efficient production. Through your leadership, technical expertise, and passion for Operational Excellence, you will make a significant contribution to the success of our production site.</p> <hr> <h2>What You'll Do</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Automation Engineers, and Technicians while fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.</p> </li> <li> <p>Take ownership of the technical availability and reliability of our production equipment by continuously developing and optimizing our maintenance strategy to sustainably minimize downtime.</p> </li> <li> <p>Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including equipment availability, maintenance costs, and technical efficiency, and translate insights into impactful improvement initiatives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate closely with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Procurement to develop technical solutions that continuously improve production performance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Lead the implementation and commissioning of new production equipment and automation solutions while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage external service providers and suppliers, building long-term, trusted partnerships that support operational excellence.</p> </li> <li> <p>Drive the professional and personal development of your team while fostering a high-performance, motivating work environment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and internal standards related to occupational health and safety, food safety, quality, and compliance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Analyze technical failures, implement sustainable root-cause solutions, and lead cross-functional improvement and capital investment projects.</p> </li> <li> <p>Actively contribute to cross-site projects and strategic initiatives, helping shape the future development of our production network.</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h2>What You'll Bring</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline.</p> </li> <li> <p>Several years of experience in maintenance or technical management within a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food, beverage, or FMCG industry.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven leadership experience with a passion for developing, coaching, and motivating high-performing teams.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong expertise in maintenance management as well as the maintenance and optimization of automated production systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with KPI management, project management, and the successful implementation of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset combined with a hands-on approach.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Google Workspace and Dematic automation systems is considered an advantage.</p> </li> <li> <p>Solid knowledge of relevant occupation
