It's a global team — the surfaces we build support all of our brands: Deliveroo, Wolt, and Doordash. You'd be the team's first dedicated web/full-stack engineer, helping us build out our web experience from the ground up.</p> <h2>What You'll Do</h2> <ul> <li>Own and evolve the store, item, basket, and checkout experiences on web, working primarily in React and TypeScript</li> <li>Contribute to backend services written in Golang — deep Go experience isn't a hard requirement, but you should be comfortable picking up a new statically typed backend language</li> <li>Improve code structure, shape architecture, and review code across the team</li> <li>Partner closely with your Product Manager and fellow engineers to scope and ship changes to the ordering funnel</li> <li>Take part in the hiring process and support the growth of your teammates as the team scales</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>What We're Looking For</h2> <p><strong>Must haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong full-stack experience — comfortable working across web frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Go, or similar) to unblock delivery end-to-end</li> <li>Experience designing, implementing and rolling out A/B experiments (or strong aptitude to quickly learn our experimentation platform) — including guardrail metrics, staged rollouts and reading results</li> <li>Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities and short XP cycles (weeks, not quarters)</li> <li>Strong ownership mindset — able to take a brief PRD through design, implementation, rollout and production monitoring with minimal hand-holding</li> <li>Track record of shipping incrementally and iterating on data rather than big-bang launches</li> <li>Willing to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Nice to haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience coordinating engineers across multiple platforms (iOS/Android/Web/BE) on a single initiative</li> <li>Active use of AI-assisted coding workflows, and interest in building reusable tooling/skills for the team</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We're looking for someone <strong>London-based</strong> who can work <strong>from our office 2–3 days a week</strong> alongside the rest of the team.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></h2> <p>At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters—solving real-world problems in a three-sided marketplace that’s constantly evolving.
