In the app, they manage their payments with the method of their choice: Apple Pay, Google Pay or local payment methods. By taking Alma beyond our merchant network, the Alma card is one of the company's key strategic bets. You will report to <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/tony-miksa/">Tony</a>, Senior Engineering Manager, and work closely with Justine, Product Manager, to bring it to life.</p> <p class="p2"><em>This position is a CDI based in Paris, with a hybrid work model.</em></p> <p class="p1">💼<strong> About the job</strong></p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li2"><strong>Deliver the Alma Wallet roadmap: </strong>the Alma card, and bringing new payment methods (Apple Pay, Google Pay, local payment methods), identity verification and Open Banking to the mobile app.</li> <li class="li2"><strong>Lead and grow the Alma Wallet squad</strong> by supporting engineers’ development, hiring the right profiles and creating an environment where the team can do its best work.</li> <li class="li2"><strong>Build an effective delivery system</strong> by improving team processes, rituals and collaboration with Product, Design and the other Consumer squads.</li> <li class="li2"><strong>Deliver a strategic payment roadmap</strong> covering the Alma card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, local payment methods, the consumer point-of-sale experience, identity verification and Open Banking.</li> <li class="li2"><strong>Raise the technical bar and protect reliability</strong> through code reviews, technical design discussions and a strong focus on the quality and resilience of payment flows.</li> </ul> <p class="p1">🧰<strong> You will work with</strong></p> <ul> <li><em>Mobile</em>: Expo / EAS, React Native, TypeScript, TanStack Query, Redux Toolkit, Zod, Reanimated, Jest, Detox. Payment SDKs: Adyen, Stripe, <a href="http://Checkout.com">Checkout.com</a>.</li> <li><em>Back-end</em>: Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Redis, Pub/Sub.</li> <li><em>Infra &amp; observability</em>: GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, Datadog, Sentry, OpenFeature.</li> <li><em>Tools</em>: GitHub, Linear, Notion, Figma.</li> </ul> <h3 class="p1">🧩<strong> About you</strong></h3> <p class="p1"><strong>To succeed in this job</strong></p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li2">You have 3+ years of experience managing or leading engineers, including hiring and supporting team development.</li> <li class="li2">You have strong hands-on technical credibility in mobile or back-end engineering, and are comfortable reviewing code and leading architecture discussions.</li> <li class="li2">You have experience delivering products in a cross-functional squad with Product and Design.</li> <li class="li2">You are fluent in both French and English.</li> </ul> <p class="p1"><strong>And it will be nice if you also</strong></p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li2">Have experience in fintech or another regulated environment.</li> <li class="li2">Have worked with payment methods, payment service providers or PSP SDK integrations.</li> <li class
