Role overview | Context As part of Checkout.com’s global Talent Acquisition team, the Strategic & Leadership Hiring practice leads most hiring processes at Director, Senior Director, VP and C-suite level across functions and global locations. The practice is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to own the day-to-day delivery of confidential, business-critical executive searches. Working closely with C-suite and VP stakeholders, this role offers exposure to a high-performing, growth-stage global technology business and the opportunity to influence the teams and projects shaping Checkout.com’s continued growth. The role bridges deep market research with opportunity to learn end-to-end recruitment. It supports senior leadership by mapping talent markets, engaging passive executive candidates and maintaining rigorous processes across demanding pipelines, while improving scalability, data quality and consistency within one of the fastest-paced areas of our global Talent Acquisition function. Role overview | Remit and Responsibilities We are looking for an execution-focused recruitment professional who combines executive-search craft with high-touch candidate management and stakeholder partnership. You will operate with pace and discretion to manage leadership searches across the business. Search Execution & Delivery: Lead defined leadership searches independently from brief through to shortlist and handover, translating role requirements into practical search plans, target-company maps, and talent pipelines. Passive Talent Engagement: Conduct high-quality research, sourcing, and direct approach to identify, engage, and pipeline diverse, highly senior, and passive talent across fintech, payments, and tech sectors. Candidate Experience: Act as a responsive, trusted point of contact, ensuring clear, timely, and personable communication, expectation management, and candidate care throughout complex processes. Process & Operational Rigour: Own the workflow, ATS data hygiene, and operating rhythm for assigned searches while building simple frameworks and routines to remove bottlenecks and prevent search drift. Stakeholder Partnership: Partner closely with hiring managers and senior leaders, providing concise, structured written updates, market intelligence, and candidate summaries to facilitate evidence-based decisions. AI & Operational Innovation: Work closely with Talent Operations to drive AI adoption and leverage modern research tools to continuously sharpen sourcing precision, increase data accuracy, and improve search velocity. Lifecycle Development: Progress from research and coordination into full-cycle recruiter-led delivery, building fluency in recruiter screens, structured assessments, offer construction, and negotiation support.
