What we're looking for This is the first dedicated Chief of Staff hire in our Product org. You'll report directly to Rob, our VP Product, and work alongside him every day as his closest partner in running the product organisation. Working with Rob is the job. This isn't a role where you'll get a remit handed to you and check in monthly. You'll be in Rob's most important conversations, you'll leave them owning the follow-through, and you'll be the person he thinks out loud with before a decision is made. Expect a standing 1:1 that runs long, a shared list of the org's live problems, and genuine licence to take things off his plate permanently rather than tidying them up for him. Where he can't be in the room, you'll represent his thinking, and where you think he's wrong, he'll want to hear it first, directly, from you. Rob is a good person to learn from. He joined Omnea as VP Product in early 2025; before that he was VP Product and then General Manager at OakNorth, and prior to that VP Product and later interim CEO at H4, a contract lifecycle management company he helped build from pre-seed. He's operated across product, commercial and P&L ownership, which is unusually broad - and it means this role is exposed to all three rather than just the product surface. You'll live at the intersection of product and AI. Your remit is the operational and strategic layer a fast-growing product org needs to scale: the tool stack, the launch rhythm, our top-level metrics, early access programmes, the comms, and the cadence that holds the team together. Treat the product org as your user. Define the problem, build the thing, get people using it, then check whether it made anyone faster. If it didn't, kill it and try something else. This is not a co-ordination job. You'll be trusted to hold real ownership. We want a structured operator with low ego and a builder's instinct — someone who'd rather automate a problem than write a process doc about it. You'll be hands-on: wiring up integrations, writing Claude skills, pulling data, shipping dashboards. The role is deliberately broad, and it's a springboard. Working this closely with a VP Product is a fast route into product leadership, a PM group, or whatever the biggest gap turns out to be twelve months from now. What Can You Expect? AI enablement for the product team. You'll work out where PMs, designers and engineers are spending time they shouldn't, then build the agents, Claude skills and automations that take it off them: synthesising customer signal from Gong, Slack and support, turning specs into first drafts, generating release notes, assembling reporting.
