We partner cross-functionally to improve the profitability, scalability, and defensibility of our business model, carrying projects from initial conception through to final execution.</p><p>Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Strategic Decision Support:</strong> Partner with stakeholders across the business to develop new investment decision-making frameworks and drive strategy in a dynamic environment.</p></li><li><p><strong>Growth vs. Profitability:</strong> Own complex models and analyses to help the business strike the optimal balance between aggressive growth and long-term profitability.</p></li><li><p><strong>Custom Financial Modelling:</strong> Lead high-impact modelling exercises to support key initiatives, sizing new opportunities and building business cases for innovative products.</p></li><li><p><strong>KPI Analysis:</strong> Track and analyse key financial and business KPIs to uncover trends, assessing current and future risks while identifying new market opportunities.</p></li><li><p><strong>Process Innovation:</strong> Lead special projects to automate and scale our forecasting and reporting tools, ensuring our methodologies evolve alongside the business.</p></li><li><p><strong>Cross-Functional Leadership:</strong> Work closely with operators and departmental leaders to develop new policies and ensure day-to-day execution aligns with our financial targets.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>What You’ll Need to Thrive</h2><p>Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Finance Leadership:</strong> Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking, ideally within a high-growth tech environment.</p></li><li><p><strong>Team Development:</strong> Proven track record of managing and mentoring teams; you are passionate about building a high-performing "gold standard" finance function.</p></li><li><p><strong>Influencing Power:</strong> The ability to earn the trust of senior leaders and influence strategic thinking across a matrixed organisation.</p></li><li><p><strong>Technical Mastery:</strong> Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with the ability to build robust, complex financial models that distill data into digestible insights.</p></li><li><p><strong>Budget Ownership:</strong> Experience owning forecasts and budgets for major functional areas, working directly with operators to hit performance targets.</p
